OUPV CAPTAIN’S COURSE — WOODBRIDGE, VA

Take the Next Step in Your Boating Journey

DMVBOA is excited to announce that one of our members has helped secure an OUPV Captain’s Course (commonly known as the Six-Pack Captain’s License) right here in Woodbridge, Virginia.

The course is designed to prepare experienced boaters to pursue the U.S. Coast Guard Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV) credential, which allows qualified captains to operate certain vessels carrying up to six paying passengers.

Whether you're interested in charter boating, fishing charters, sightseeing excursions, other passenger-for-hire opportunities, or simply want to expand your boating knowledge, this course provides valuable professional-level instruction close to home.

COURSE INFORMATION

Dates: October 19 – November 1, 2026
Location: Woodbridge, Virginia
Course Cost: $950 per student
Seat Reservation Fee: $100
Total Instruction: 56.5 hours

Monday–Friday: 6:00–10:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

ONLY 10 SEATS AVAILABLE

Enrollment for this first course is intentionally limited to 10 students. If demand exceeds available seating, additional courses may be scheduled.

After four incredible years of music, sunsets, food, fun, and community on the waterfront, the Golden Hour Concert Series is preparing to take its final bow at Belmont Bay Harbor Marina.

We extend our sincere thanks to Belmont Bay Harbor Marina for welcoming us and providing a home for this series over the past four years. Together, we've created some unforgettable summer memories along the Occoquan.

But this isn't goodbye to Golden Hour — it's the beginning of the next chapter.

As we close our time at Belmont Bay, we're now searching for a new waterfront location to carry the concert series forward in 2027 and beyond.

Join us September 26 for one final sunset, one final concert, and one big celebration of four amazing years at Belmont Bay.

🌅 Come help us close this chapter the same way we started it — together on the waterfront.

The sun may be setting on Belmont Bay, but Golden Hour isn't over.
