Leadership
Darren plays a key leadership role in representing and overseeing the interests of boat owners in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas, his responsibilities include leading meetings, coordinating events, advocating for members’ interests with local authorities, managing the operations and finances of the DMV Boat Owners Association and the DMV Boat Owners Club, and fostering a sense of community among members. Darren is also involved in strategic planning and setting the direction for the association's future.
Lloyd plays a key role in managing the day-to-day activities of the association's staff, ensuring efficient and effective operations. Lloyd works closely with the President, Secretary, Treasurer, and DMV Boat Owners Club leadership to advance the associations goals, contributing to strategic planning and implementation. Additionally, Lloyd co-chairs the association's board of directors, collaborating on governance and policy decisions to guide the organization's direction and impact.
Gigi McRae is the DMVBOC Commander for Maryland, fostering connections within the boating community across the DC, MD, and VA areas. She promotes inclusiveness and encourages participation in club activities, aiming to create a warm and accepting environment for boaters to network and enjoy their shared passion.
Paul Pearson is a seasoned cybersecurity specialist, entrepreneur, and U.S. Air Force veteran with over 20 years of IT experience. With a strong background in digital forensics, business development, and technology strategy, he is also the founder of Running Name LLC & Eduruna, he supports businesses and nonprofits with online security, web design, and digital marketing. A passionate advocate for community engagement, Paul enjoys leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and security in various industries, including maritime and boating communities.
Rachelle is a fervent and informed advocate committed to improving the boating community throughout D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. She serves as a liaison between boat owners and the association, orchestrating outreach via educational seminars, local events, and social media engagement. Her role includes advocating for safe boating practices, environmental stewardship, and member benefits, all while nurturing a spirit of fellowship among boating enthusiasts. Combining her expertise and zeal, Rachelle ensures that boating continues to be a pleasurable and attainable activity for all members.
